Worship

Our desire is that through our worship services people would experience God and truly worship Christ.

St. Peter CLASSIC - 8:15 am on Sundays
This service speaks to those who come
from a culture filled with the rich heritage of the Church.
It features classic hymnody and liturgy.

St. Peter ROCKS! - 10:45 am on Sundays
Here we use modern developments in worship
and introduce people to new songs of the church.  A full band leads this service.

Choir & Worship Team
Do you have an interest in music, play an instrument proficiently or have experience singing?  Both our Worship Team and Choir are always looking for dedicated people who have a heart for praising God through music.  For more information contact Pastor John.

Media & Visual Arts
We are currently taking steps to utilize media and arts in our worship so that the Gospel is communicated in a way that speaks to the heart.  For more information on arts and media technology contact Pastor John.

Adult Ed

This winter we have three adult classes running consecutively upstairs in the classrooms of the Roaonoke Rec Center, from 9:30 to 10:20 each Sunday.  Check them out!

Christianity in Literature:  J. R. R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings - This class will provide a detailed multi-media exploration, using both the book and the movie, of The Lord of the Rings trilogy in view of our faith. Led by Robert Burton, Professor of English at North Central Texas College.

The Book of Job - Mark Burzlaff leads an 8-week study entitled In Control.  We will explore the bad things that happen to good people and God's will. We will dig into the various rationale that some try to place on tragedy, the sovereignty of God, and how we can discern His purposes. The study will be a mix of large and small group discussion aimed at seeking understanding to one of life's most perplexing questions:  Why does God allow tragedy? And, on improving our ability to better know God and see His grace at work even in the face of adversity.
