What makes Concordia Academy Preschool UNIQUE?
Highly qualified teachers in early childhood development and elementary education will guide your child through the academic process. Teachers are certified with many years of experience in an early childhood classroom.
- Curriculum is individualized for each child. Each child has his or her unique strengths and areas of growth. Teachers will assess your child and design activities that encourage growth and expand on areas of strength. When you pick up your child at the end of the day, no two projects will look the same.
- The curriculum focuses on language development, phonics, thinking skills, social and emotional skills, and gross and fine motor development. Examples:
- During circle time, children will develop a sense of community as they share their learning experiences or share stories that connect to the lesson.
- During center time, children will explore with make believe play, hands-on activities with independent, self directed play.
- The classroom environment will be “print rich” with different levels of reading materials, words, and phrases.
- During small group and individual instruction time, the teacher will guide students through activities that encourage math, science, creativity, language, and writing skills.
